Prioritise Recycling

• We recycle glass, plastics, cardboard, pallets and metals, and continuously look at better ways to recycle our waste.
• We promote recycling pots with our suppliers to sell to customers
• We pass on unused plastic trays back to suppliers.
• We use colour coded plastic pots to help the local council recognise recycling waste.
• We use water butts and other means of recycling water.
• We promote and sell recycled products.
• We encourage staff to recycle at work and at home.
• We provide recyclable take out cups, tubs, strawers, and bags in our shop and café.
• We have fitted LED light fittings throughout the business property

Support The Local Community

• We use local produce where possible in our café.
• We support local growers and suppliers.
• We support local schools and communities by supplying trees and plants to help the environment.

Increase Staff Awareness

• We encourage staff to recycle and turn off lights, computers and taps when not in use.
• We encourage staff to reduce waste throughout the business.
• We encourage staff to share travel to and from work.

Offer Sustainable Products

• We provide our customers with peat free product choices.
• We advise on and sell environmentally friendly products to produce compost and pest and weed control.
• We sell plants in biodegradable pots, and promote the use of peat free plants from our suppliers.
• We sell timber products that are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
