It all began when our founder, Stanley Jackson (originally a butcher in Kinmel Bay) decided to help his brother and uncle in Stoke on Trent to grow Roses and develop a Nurseries that is still running today.
Stanley’s love of gardening grew and he purchased a small plot of land in Kinmel Bay where he grew roses, shrubs and house plants. As his hobby developed into a business, he bought a small cottage with land in Trelawnyd to develop his roses.
His wife Marjorie and daughter Lorraine ran the business when Stanley was
running his butchers shop in Kinmel Bay but as the business grew he eventually closed his butchers shop to develop Roses of Trelawnyd.
Roses of Trelawnyd then became Jackson’s Garden Centre and a new shop and café opened and more family members came onboard to help.
After Stanley’s passing, his daughter Lorraine and husband Robert took over the business and built it into the successful business it is today with the help of their children and grandchildren.
54 years after it all began, Jackson’s Boutique Garden Centre is in our 4th generation and is still the same family run business.
